Jasmine Rice
Mill (Tunjang) Sdn Bhd is located in the northern
state of Kedah - Malaysia's "Rice Bowl".
The Tunjang rice mill has a built-up area of 200,000
sq ft and is one of the state-of-art rice mills in
kedah. It has 50 employees to take care of the various
processes from the moment padi is received till the
end of processing. Hygiene and quality control are
very important aspects at the Tunjang operation.
From the intake
point to packing, the padi undergoes various processes
before it is released into the market. Cleaning, drying,
dehusking, stone removing and grading are some of
the processes involved.
